Building Your Fine Art Collection

Hello to All Art Lovers and Fans of the Artful Deposit! Over the years, I've been fortunate to meet people who are true patrons of the arts! They not only admire the talent of artists, they
carefully select and collect art works to enjoy throughout their lifetime. These types of people truly embrace the meaning of Artful Living.....

Although a few may purchase art as only a long-term investment, I encourage people to "buy what they
love" and the investment aspect will hopefully develop over time anyway. Since the buying of fine art is
often dictated by one's financial situation, I further suggest that patrons try to purchase a piece annually if possible. This is a great way to build your personal collection and make an
annual, or "year-end" investment that you can put funds aside for. Whether that means you're
spending $75.00, $750.00 or $7,500.00, if you treat yourself to one or several artworks a year, you've created an exciting, yet personalized way to build your fine art collection.

The Artful Deposit Gallery further offers the purchaser a wide array of artists to choose from.
We boast representation for emerging artists that are newer on the gallery scene, to already established artists. "The Ballerina" by Joseph William Dawley (shown above) is an example of an
available piece by this great American painter (1936-2008) that dates back to the artist's early,
Traditional works.

The gallery has standard gallery hours and I encourage people to make appointments to discuss
either the beginning of, or the Building of their Fine Art Collection.

Have an Artful Evening!

"The Soloist" by Louis Russomanno

Mr. Russomanno is a Central NJ based painter and he's been represented by the Artful Deposit
Gallery for nearly 2 years. Louis is massively talented, and since he is self taught, he proves a theory
of mine....When someone is truly an artist, their talent is innate. Techniques can be taught, color theory learned, etc....but the true eye of the artist, and their
particular touch of the hand comes from within. The instinct of the artist is a special gift, and
Louis Russomanno is certainly gifted.

"The Soloist" is 28x38, oil/linen/board, and you can view this exquisite painting at the gallery.

Have a Truly Artful Day!

"Skating in Central Park, Circa, 1920"

Hello Artful Deposit Gallery Fans and Art Lovers all over!

Come by and see this enchanting oil by New York painter, Patrick Antonelle. I was raised in Morris County, Northern New Jersey. Part of our family's Holiday ritual was to go into NYC and of course, see "The Tree," attend a show at Radio City Music Hall some years, and watching the skaters in
Central Park and in Rockefeller Center. (We weren't much of a skating family ourselves!)

This contemporary painting of Antonelle's brings us back to a nostalgic time....the 1920's. It's a 20x24 original oil on canvas and is available for purchase at the Artful Deposit Gallery at 201
Farnsworth Avenue. We'll be open a good bit of the upcoming weekend! Tomorrow night is the
Downtown Bordentown Association sponsored, "Chocolate Walk." There are 18 participating
businesses where you can walk along into shops, galleries, and eateries and have at it! Chocolate
tasting all the way!

Saturday evening, 12/11 is the Holiday Historic Homes Tour sponsored by the Bordentown Historical Society. Call Tom @ 609 298 1424 for more information. Tickets are available!

Here's to a Chilly, but Very Artful Weekend! Best Always, cj

"The Trapper" by Joseph William Dawley (1936-2008)

"The Trapper", c.1993 is a fabulous Impressionist oil/board by the late Joseph William Dawley, 1936-2008. This painting literally whisks you down the river as you feel the cold air swirl
around you and the Trapper navigates his canoe away from the Native American riverbank camp.......

This painting graces the front easel as you enter the Artful Deposit Gallery and is one of the
largest available works of Joe's presently on display. I remember when he completed "The Trapper," and his family and I were so thrilled that he painted such a large, atmospheric piece. Having had battled Parkinson's Disease since 1975, "The Trapper" is another outstanding example of Dawley's mastery of color and light, and his years as an Impressionist painter.

For more information regarding "The Trapper", call me at the gallery 609 298 6970 or stop by.

There is a Chocolate Walk on Friday, 12/10 beginning at 6pm in some participating businesses
on Farnsworth Avenue!

The Rabbis" by Joseph William Dawley (1936-2008)

Over the past 24 years of owning the Artful Deposit Gallery I experienced of course, some wonderful highs and some sobering lows. I've met some incredible people and some artists with
extraordinary talent. One of the highlights of my art career was when I met Joseph WIlliam Dawley and his wife, Gigi. The Dawley's took a chance with my fledgling gallery back in 1991, and together
we built a reputation for his available works at the Artful Deposit Gallery. I am now fortunate to
continue to represent not only Joseph, but his talented daughter, Cynthia as well. You can view
The Life of Joseph William Dawley via my website at www.artfullivingwithcj.com

There are often Dawley pieces for sale at the gallery from collectors and/or estates, so visit the
The Artful Deposit and/or check my website at www.theartfuldeposit.com.

Above is a Dawley oil, "The Rabbis," c1993 in a stunning gold gild frame.

Hope you're already having an Artful Day!

"In For the Evening" oil by Michael Budden

Holiday Heads Up to all Artful Deposit Fans and Mike Budden Collectors! I just received a beautiful group of paintings (4 to be exact) that are lovely winterscapes of Michael's home region,
Chesterfield, NJ. The above piece, "In For the Evening," is 16x20 and is framed in a gold, custom
molding.

Although Michael enjoys a National, award-winning reputation, this artist is very much able to
bring us "home" with his work from the region; sometimes from his own back yard. Michael
has been in the permanent stable of artists at the Artful Deposit for nearly 15 years. Please call for further information on these four outstanding works.

Have an Artful Evening......
