And so it begins....another Holiday Season. I think I've heard more "Shopping Tips" and "Retail Coaching" for the Holiday shopper this year than ever before. From "Buy Small and Stay Local" to "Buy Less Gifts and Get More for Your Money," etc. etc. etc. Yikes! Can't we make it simple?

I realized inside the Artful Deposit the purchasing "tips" are pretty much the same now as in the beginning: "Buy an Original piece of Quality Fine Art that you really love, and that you can afford to own, and enjoy it for the rest of your days."

I am proud to say the gallery is filled with incredible pieces by some of your favorite NJ Based artists such as pastelists Marge Levine and Anna Wainright, oil painters Eleinne Basa, Ken McIndoe, and Mike Budden, and the strong works in metal by Roebling, NJ sculptor, Gary Bykowsky. The magical watercolors and signed prints by Gennady Spirin, and let's applaud the incredible work of Richard McKinley (Oregon) and Sarah J. Webber from Tucson, Arizona.
It wouldn't be the Holidays if Patrick Antonelle's Central Park and Wall Street paintings weren't there, and guess what? They are! So are new creations by Thomas Kelly, Hanneke deNeve, and Cynthia Dawley.

"Street Jack," is a 17x21 oil on canvas by the outstanding Mercer County NJ painter, Louis Russomanno. This gifted artist has been compared to Hopper and his work brings much joy to the gallery, viewer, and collector alike. He is truly gifted.

One of the great things about owning and operating your own gallery is the anticipation that comes when the artists deliver new work. Whether I'm opening a package from Master Pastelist, Richard McKinley (Oregon), or waiting for Marge Levine and Anna Wainright, (last Friday), I
still feel that excitement in knowing new pieces of fine art are arriving .....and then.......it even gets
better than that.......For sometimes, among the list of paintings, one will just capture my heart.
It envelops and inspires me. It is exceptional. Such is the case with "Sunset Glow," an original
oil/board by NJ based and nationally presented artist, Eleinne Basa. It is the sort of piece that I know I could live with everyday with continued enjoyment.

Eleinne delivered 5 new oils the other day, and I welcome you to stop by to view them. All different size works (which equals a varying price range). The gallery will be open late this evening, as Fridays we tend to stay until 9 or 10pm. Saturday and Sunday we open at noon, and if an appointment is more suitable, please give me a call at 609 298 6970.

Hello to all Art Lovers and Gallery Fans!

Get ready to help us say Happy Birthday to the John Bull steam engine. Did you know that this spectacular little engine made its first run from the Bordentown City station 180 years ago on November 12th, 1831?

The Artful Deposit Gallery is putting together a 10 day exhibit, "Trains, Planes, and Automobiles,"
November 5th - November 15th. Please join us to view works by contemporary artists from the Tri-State area, and an Open House on Saturday, November 12th, from 1 - 7pm.

"Riding the Rails," is a collage by NJ based artist, Chris Hatfield. We are excited to present
Chris's work, as well as the hand signed plaques of the John Bull, by Pa. artist Mark Rounds.

I love when the artists represented at the Artful Deposit travel to faraway places and return with
new ideas and renewed energy in their work.

New Jersey based artist, Louis Russomanno recently went to Italy and is creating a series of paintings and collages that will melt your heart. "Sorrento Moonlight," is a 16x20 acrylic/collage on board and is his third piece to arrive at the Artful D. Please stop by to see it along with Louis's

It will be another exciting weekend in Bordentown City! As usual, many galleries and shops will be open late on Friday night as well as our fabulous eateries....We're looking forward to the Painted Chair Auction at Old City Hall on Saturday, October 15th. Preview starts at 6:00, and the auction begins at 7pm. Seventeen artists were invited to participate in this special event, including Yours Truly.

22nd Annual Cranberry Festival in Bordentown City!

The Artful Deposit Gallery is getting ready for an Artful and Fun weekend! The Downtown Bordentown Association and Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc., are sponsoring the 22nd annual Cranberry Festival on the main streets of Bordentown City.

The weekend will include a juried crafts and artisan show, classic car show on Saturday, 10/1,
live music, and lots and lots of amazing food! There will be 150 vendors in total, and the festival
will be on Farnsworth Avenue, Crosswicks and Walnut Streets. There is shuttle-bus service in to
the downtown area, and there is always the RiverLINE into the Bordentown City station!

As for the Artful D.....well I've been rehanging all week as new works arrive, and repositioning some amazing pieces that were already there! Today I receive some new oils from Louis Russomanno and Michael Budden.

Just delivered to the Artful Deposit Gallery!!! Ten incredible watercolors from various books illustrated by the world renowned artist, Gennady Spirin. This Russian born illustrator has been a New Jersey resident for many years, and his work is included in the gallery's permanent stable.

New Arrival! oil by Joseph William Dawley

Hello Art Lovers and Gallery Fans,

I'm excited to tell you about the newest arrival at the Artful Deposit. "Old Man With a Cap," is an oil/ board, c1981 by the late, Joseph William Dawley, (1936-2008). This painting was done at a
very interesting time in the artists career. Joe had already been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 1978, but wouldn't have brain surgery until 1982. Joe was continuing to paint in the Traditional style of the Old Masters, but was beginning to put figures into landscapes
and moving toward a softer, more Impressionist palette.

"Old Man With a Cap," is one of many Dawley pieces available at the Artful Deposit. Please see a
picture of "Study of Old Man," and "Cristina," on the front page of this blogspot. Call for more information or for an appointment to view these incredible paintings. Also the gallery will be open Wednesday through Sunday, and we usually stay well into the evenings on Fridays and Saturdays.

I'm not quite sure how it happens.....I don't know how she does it. After 25 years of representation, Hanneke deNeve can still surprise me! This internationally acclaimed artist (she also shows her work in her native country of Holland) just delivered four exceptional small oils, custom framed, which are retailing for under $400. a piece.

The gallery has a wide variety of deNeves as she creates in many different mediums; including but not limited to monotypes, collage, fiber art, acrylics, oils, silverpoint, etc....Please stop by the Artful Deposit and see the work for yourself. "Day at the Beach, Kitty Hawk" oil by Ken McIndoe

As the days of Summer continue, take some time to visit the Artful Deposit Gallery and view the artists works depicting this time of year. Ken McIndoe, NJ resident, and long time instructor (31 years) at the Art Students League in NYC brought in several sizzling beach scenes, and a few en plein air NYC streetscapes.

Ken McIndoe has been a part of the gallery since our opening in 1986, and his colorful impasto oils are a magnet to the eye, and take a commanding space in the home or office. He's a gifted painter with the assured hand of a Master, and a wonderful guy as well. It has been my privilege to represent Ken, and welcome you to view his work for yourself.

Th Artful Deposit will be open Wednesdays through Sundays from 1 til at least 6pm, yet we've

I have a very Artful Idea! Where can one go in 100 degree weather and be pleasantly cool and visually stimulated? Answer.......the Trenton City Museum in the Ellarslie Mansion! The museum will be open the next 3 days on Friday 11-3, Saturday 11-3, and Sunday 1-4.

Louis Russomanno's, "Communion Dress," is one of the stunning works in our gallery exhibit,
"Twenty Five Years of the Artful Deposit at Ellarslie." This is the last weekend to see the exhibit and check out the museum collection of Trenton Potteries .

What a Glorious Summer Sunday!!! If you're not heading into mounds of traffic in an attempt to see some sand and water at the Jersey shores.....how about making today an Artful one?

"The Twenty Five Years of the Artful Deposit at Ellarslie" exhibit is in its final week, making today the perfect day to visit the Ellarslie Mansion in Cadawalder Park from 1-4pm. I plan on being at the Museum today, so if you'd like to take a personal tour with me and chat, I'll see you there.

And what a night to remember..... "Twenty Five Years of the Artful Deposit at Ellarslie," opened
last Saturday evening, June 18th, beginning with the preview party for Museum Society Members and the participants of the exhibit.

We enjoyed the beautiful gallery rooms on the first floor of Ellarslie, the Trenton City Museum. What a stunning venue for the feature exhibition! Many thanks to the Museum Society and to Ellarslie Director, Brian Hill for a lovely and gracious opening night.

Many of the artists from the Artful Deposit permanent stable were in attendance, and in the above picture from left to right are: Louis Russomanno, Eleinne Basa, Hanneke deNeve, Thomas Kelly (back), Cj Mugavero, Ken Maag, Marge Levine, Anna Wainright, Cynthia Dawley, and Michael Budden.

I'd also like to take a moment to thank the artists (the participants not in the picture also!) for their continued dedication to their talent and careers, and for helping me grow the Artful Deposit
gallery to what it has become today. Their talents are exceptional, and it is an honor to be a part of this journey.

Hello to Art Lovers and Gallery Fans!!! One week from today we will be getting ready for our big celebration at the Trenton City Museum in the Ellarslie Mansion!

"Twenty Five Years of the Artful Deposit at Ellarslie," will open on Saturday, June 18th from 7-9pm. All participants and Museum members are invited to arrive at 6pm for a special preview hour.

There will be 21 artists presented in this exhibition....some have been with the Artful Deposit Gallery for 25 years, such as Hanneke deNeve, Marge Levine, and Ken McIndoe. Several artists have been in our permanent stable for over 15 years, namely, Mike Budden, Patrick Antonelle, Joseph WIlliam Dawley (1936-2008), and Gary Bykowsky. And then there are artists that are newly presented at the gallery within the past 2 years such as Richard McKinley, PSA, Sarah J. Webber, Eleinne Basa, and Anna Wainright.

We hope to see you at the Ellarslie Mansion on June 18th, and then plan to "Stay Artful" that evening, and go over to "ART ALL NIGHT," the 24 hour art show, also in the City of Trenton.

Hello Art Lovers and Gallery Fans....I'm going to start to give you some "teasers" for our incredible
Ellarslie Museum show opening on June 18th. The Artful Deposit Gallery is celebrating its silver anniversary this year and the feature exhibition will present over 20 artists from the gallery's
permanent stable of artists.

I've been so fortunate to represent amazing talent from right from the beginning in 1986, such as
Hanneke deNeve, Marge Levine, and Ken McIndoe. Then I was given the career changing opportunity to represent Joseph and Gigi Dawley in 1991, which led to representing their talented
daughter Cynthia as well....

The past 15 years has contributed to the building of an ever-evolving structure resulting in what I believe to be the
strongest permament stable of artists in the region. We boast Internationally acclaimed talent
such as Russian born, Gennady Spirin, and artists with significant National presence such
as Richard McKinley, Sarah J. Webber, Michael Budden, Patrick Antonelle, and Eleinne Basa.
We have the signature works of Thomas Kelly, Louis Russomanno, Eric Gibbons, Eugene Maziarz, and Ken Maag,
and enjoy the journey once again through the new and brilliant works of emerging artist, Anna Wainright.

In preparation for "Twenty Five Years of the Artful Deposit at Ellarslie," I am seeing the gallery's
growth through more mature eyes. I am extremely proud of the 3 dimensional work we will be
presenting, with the inclusion of sculptures in clay from the late James Colavita and Sally Brennan, and the contemporary sculptures by Gary Bykowsky and pottery by Ericka O'Rourke.

Please bookmark June 18th to be at the Trenton City Musuem in the Ellarslie Mansion, from 6-9pm. Then it's "ART ALL NIGHT" in Trenton as well! So plan on spending a very Artful Evening in the City of Trenton on June 18th!

Well, here we go!!!! It's almost time for the days of the Summer sun, and the works of the Delaware based artist, Ken Maag. Mr. Maag has been part of the Tri-State area art scene in the Delaware Valley for nearly 30 years, allowing his lively and brightly colored canvases to be easily put into many an
art collection. Ken enjoys a unique group of fans, and my husband and I are proud owners of several of his exciting works. His paintings bring color and magic to our space, and we enjoy them immensely.

I recently received 10 new acrylic on canvas pieces that have the signature Maag "Flair," complete with Flowers in Flight,
Parrots and Crabs, Ladybugs, Butterflies, Dragonflies, Birds, and more! His work is truly a pure
delight, bringing one back to the simple memory of an uncomplicated time.

"Ms. Crab and Mr. Fish," is 20x20, acyrlic/canvas and will be one of the featured pieces at the

"Spring Moonrise," by Eleinne Basa

Welcome, Spring! Actually, it has felt a bit like Summer the past few days. I wanted to share one of the recent arrivals by gallery artist, Eleinne Basa.....

"Spring Moonrise," is a 24x26 oil that is in a stunning 23kt gold leaf frame that was hand carved and gilded especially for Eleinne by an artisan from out west.

Talk about atmosphere! This
painting awakens all of your senses. Her palette has a richness and warmth that seemingly draws the viewer in and then completely envelops you.....

I recently had a visit from wonderful gallery patrons/friends that enjoy collecting many of the talented artists
represented at the Artful Deposit. They have been getting familiar with Basa's work, and very happily put a few pieces into their exquisite collection. Their observation is that Eleinne paints in the
Traditional style of the Old Masters, but then gives you something more......

"White Shirt," by Louis Russomanno

Here is the second oil, collage/board by gallery represented artist, Louis Russomanno. This incredible piece is 32x44, and is also framed in a strong yet simple black wood, the same
as "Shale Bar." "White Shirt," has stopped every visitor in their tracks since its arrival on Friday evening. Even the more Traditional art collectors made statements about Russomanno being a brilliant painter, and although they may not see "White Shirt," in their formal parlor, they imagined these pieces would be collected swiftly and wind up in their perfect spaces.

"Shale Bar," by Russomanno

Wow....what impact. When Louis Russomanno delivered two new oil and collage works this past weekend, I was stunned by my reaction when first seeing them. I actually gasped. "Shale Bar," is an oil, with collage on board and this 32x40 piece is housed in a simple yet strong black wood frame. The painting of the figure has the expected Russomanno "touch", but it's the placement of the figure in the piece that intrigues me.....the painter brings you right to the edge of the roof, above the city block, while the construction worker remains casual and calm in his environment.

"Wind Walker" sculpture by Gary Bykowsky

Here she is.....Woman. Powerful, strong, full of purpose. "Wind Walker," is the latest sculpture in steel by Roebling, New Jersey artist, Gary Bykowsky. This magnificent and graceful piece is nearly 24" high and demands your attention the second you are near her.

I've had the honor of representing Gary for over 15 years, and had the pleasure of placing many
of his fabulous sculptures into collections throughout the Tri-State area. (for those of you out of the Northeast region, that means New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York). Gary keeps his work ever evolving, and it's interesting to see that both men and women are attracted to his sculptures. Gary recently did a series that was completely made of tools, nuts, and bolts.
"Tooling Around," and "Screwball," are still available at the Artful Deposit, and well worth a visit.

Ahhhhhh.....sunshine, and the warm glow of the water. Welcome Spring! It's almost here, and boy, do we deserve to say good-bye to Winter this year.

The gallery is being filled with wonderful new work by your gallery favorites. "Bailey Island Morning," by Eleinne Basa is a 9x12 original oil, and exhibits the airiness and
breadth of a coastal Maine seascape. Basa has a natural sense of color, and with limited strokes, creates an atmospheric image. She brings the viewer into the scene, and invites all of your senses to engage with the painting. You can feel the sun on you, and smell the sea.....

Winter Gala, 2011 was a Wonderful and Artful Day!!!! Big congrats to John Pierce, with his ice sculpture, Sleeping Mermaid....it took John 5 hours as he braved the cold and high winds, but his
patience paid off....his lovely lady emerged from the ice to warm our hearts and dazzle our minds.

Big thank you to the gallery artists who delivered new and vibrant Winter works. And as always; I am humbled by the fabulous family, patrons, and friends who support the gallery and provide encouragement. With all of you, we do great things. I thank everyone from the depth of my heart, and please know, I feel grateful to have you all in my life......

"We Got Your Ice, ice, Baby....."

Hello Gallery Friends and Art Lovers! Wow what a Winter to have a Gala! After many hours,
and help from friends, I was able to locate an ice company.....Lansdale Ice, in Lansdale, PA.
We're bringing in a 300 lb block of the cold stuff, and please join us on Saturday, 2/12 at 2pm,
and watch sculptor, John Pierce have a go at it!

I didn't realize that ice companies are few and far between, and it was a relief to finally wind up
working with the incredible staff at Lansdale Ice. What a well run ship! As a small business
owner myself, it is always refreshing to come across an establishment that is offering both quality product,
and quality customer care......

The stained and fused glass snowflakes by Vermont Artisan, Karen Deets are flying out the windows.....they don't even have time to melt!

Stay tuned all week, and I'll give you a peek at some of the newly delivered work by your Artful Deposit favorites!

"Raven With Snowflakes," by Sarah J. Webber

Ok.....this is turning out to be a serious Winter here along the Northeast corridor. I figured
many of us would be home this morning waiting for plows and digging out our vehicles, so I thought I'd share a
piece that is intended for the gallery's "Winter Gala, 2011," on 2/12/11.

"Raven With Snowflakes," is a 12x10 oil/wood by Sarah J. Webber. Sarah paints in both Arizona and Wyoming at different times of the year, and will be one of the featured artists in the annual
"Cowgirls Up!" exhibition in 2011.
The Artful Deposit was fortunate to have Sarah participate in "West Comes East," in May, 2010, and we've enjoyed representing her incredible
animal paintings ever since. Currently in the gallery, there is a chipmunk, fox, coyote, roosters,
and Webbers delightful cows......"Raven With Snowflakes," is the first raven she's shipped to the Artful Deposit, and
I'm so impressed with the way she captured the magical coloring of the bird......

I will be making my way in to the gallery today, so call me for more details on this piece and the

"Two Afloat" by Joseph William Dawley (American, 1936-2008)

Hello Gallery Fans and Friends,

Since we're looking forward to a morning with an icy and cold "wintry mix" I thought I'd share a picture of the soothing, Summer scene that arrived at the gallery this weekend past. "Two Afloat," is an 32x17 oil/masonite, c1968, and is
a classic example of Joe Dawley's Traditional period. Back in 1968, Joe was working at a newspaper
in North Jersey, and showed his realistic oil paintings in a gallery on Halsey St. in Newark, NJ.
I am sure that "Two Afloat" was from that exact time period, because the gallery owner on Halsey
Street had a habit of writing the title, artists name, year, etc...on the backing paper in what appears to be black felt pen.

This lovely pair of white ducks are floating in a reflective pool, and Dawley has unusual reflections from buildings and trees in the water. The painting is in its original frame, and
is an outstanding example of Joseph William Dawley's pre-Parkinsons body of work.

The gallery will be open Wednesday thru Sunday, but I can skate, slide, whatever, over to you
if you'd like to make an appointment.

As we ready for what is supposed to be another significant snowfall along the Northeast Corridor,

This is one of the superb paintings Anna has created from her recent visit out West.

Anna is one of the pastel painters represented at the Artful Deposit, and her fanciful use of color, which seems to dance, is increasingly sought after by collectors. Wainright has a strong, yet soothing hand and her pastels have a definite signature style to them......

Here's an image from the first art delivery of 2011 to the Artful Deposit! NY based artist, Patrick Antonelle brought in three of his romantic oils of Central Park in Winter. This 20x24 oil of "The Dakota
in Winter, Central Park West," is also a tribute to the late John Lennon, and Antonelle has the words to the famed song, "Imagine," on the back....It's "classic" Antonelle, with the coziness and romance of Central Park as seen through this artist's eyes.

"The Soloist" by Louis Russomanno

Mr. Russomanno is a Central NJ based painter and he's been represented by the Artful Deposit
Gallery for nearly 2 years. Louis is massively talented, and since he is self taught, he proves a theory
of mine....When someone is truly an artist, their talent is innate. Techniques can be taught, color theory learned, etc....but the true eye of the artist, and their
particular touch of the hand comes from within. The instinct of the artist is a special gift, and
Louis Russomanno is certainly gifted.

"Skating in Central Park, Circa, 1920"

Hello Artful Deposit Gallery Fans and Art Lovers all over!

Come by and see this enchanting oil by New York painter, Patrick Antonelle. I was raised in Morris County, Northern New Jersey. Part of our family's Holiday ritual was to go into NYC and of course, see "The Tree," attend a show at Radio City Music Hall some years, and watching the skaters in
Central Park and in Rockefeller Center. (We weren't much of a skating family ourselves!)

This contemporary painting of Antonelle's brings us back to a nostalgic time....the 1920's. It's a 20x24 original oil on canvas and is available for purchase at the Artful Deposit Gallery at 201
Farnsworth Avenue. We'll be open a good bit of the upcoming weekend! Tomorrow night is the
Downtown Bordentown Association sponsored, "Chocolate Walk." There are 18 participating

"The Trapper" by Joseph William Dawley (1936-2008)

"The Trapper", c.1993 is a fabulous Impressionist oil/board by the late Joseph William Dawley, 1936-2008. This painting literally whisks you down the river as you feel the cold air swirl
around you and the Trapper navigates his canoe away from the Native American riverbank camp.......

This painting graces the front easel as you enter the Artful Deposit Gallery and is one of the
largest available works of Joe's presently on display. I remember when he completed "The Trapper," and his family and I were so thrilled that he painted such a large, atmospheric piece. Having had battled Parkinson's Disease since 1975, "The Trapper" is another outstanding example of Dawley's mastery of color and light, and his years as an Impressionist painter.

We are having a fabulous weekend in Bordentown City! It seems like Black Friday was well trafficked, and there was the 17th Annual Holiday Open House at Shoppe 202, that we all look forward to as the kick off to the Holiday Season......

Then Saturday there was a Train Show and Display housed at Old City Hall that was a fabulous
attraction! And of course the lighting of the City tree in the middle of town. It's a gorgeous tree
this year, come see it if you haven't already.

This Saturday, 11//27 was also named "Small Business Saturday" a shopping concept that was
launched by American Express. I wanted to share a story of a shopper that came to town yesterday committed to shopping only small businesses in an effort to "buy local" and to support
"the little retail" establishments. Her criteria was to be greeted warmly and to feel welcomed,
and I was thrilled she was an art lover as well! I'd like to thank her warmly for her Small Business shopping, and hope the original piece she selected brings her many, many Artful moments!

As promised, Tom is delivering his latest painting, "Corner Cafe", a 30x24 original acrylic on canvas to the gallery today! This lively, narrative piece once again invites the viewer into the scene to

Hey, Ho- Ho, it's the Holiday Season for Sure!

The illustrated books from Internationally celebrated Gennady Spirin are in the gallery! This year we are featuring Mr. Spirin's latest book, "Little Red Riding Hood" and I brought in some more
copies of his incredibly beautiful, "Night Before Christmas," both of which are published by
Marshall Cavendish, NYC. "Little Red Riding Hood" @ 17.99 each, and the "Night Before Christmas" @ 16.99 each, and every book has an original artist signature!

Mr. Spirin resides in Central NJ, and came to the USA from Russia. The Artful Deposit Gallery
is proud to represent this amazing man with some of his original watercolors....one of which is the cover piece of a "Night Before Christmas," and another original piece with children skating on Carnegie Lake in Princeton, NJ. What a Fabulous Autumn weekend we're in store for in New Jersey! Perfect timing to get some of
your items for Thanksgiving dinner. Whether you're cooking and serving this year or going to be a guest, a piece of functional pottery by Ericka O'Rourke will bring beauty to the table.

This Central NJ artist has created a line of pieces that mirror all the gorgeous colors of the Fall, and the practical use of stoneware makes collecting these bowls and platters even more fun.

Coming in all the way from Jackson, Wyoming.....two sensational new oils by Artful Deposit Gallery artist, Sarah J. Webber. I'm hoping that "My Fuzzy Ears" 10x8, and "Pretty Red Head" 12x16, arrive today so I can give them prominent display as "New Arrivals" from one of our western
painters. Whenever I receive new works from either Sarah J. Webber (AZ and WY) and Richard
McKinley (OR), it feels like Christmas morning! The unpacking and "first viewing" always gives
me a chill!

This should be a big weekend in Bordentown City...kicking off on Friday evening with the 1st
Annual Holiday Spirit Walk, sponsored by the Downtown Bordentown Association. Stop by the
Artful Deposit and check out the gallery-wide two-day promotion!

I'm looking forward to your visit to the gallery either via our website at www.theartfuldeposit.com
or walking in the door at 201 Farnsworth Avenue in Bordentown City, NJ!

I have been very fortunate to own and operate Artful Deposit galleries since 1986, and have built
what I believe to be one of the most powerful and important stables of artists in New Jersey.
Whether you're looking at the Expressionist works (in many different mediums) by Hanneke de Neve, to the pre and post-Parkinsons works by the acclaimed Joseph William Dawley (1936-2008), when you enter the gallery, I think you'll agree, "now, This is some Fine, fine art."

Recently, oil painter, Michael Budden (NJ), took part in a 20 person show organized through the
Salmagundi Club (NYC), commemorating the 400 year anniversary of the Dutch acquisition of
Manhattan. The 20 artists created twenty 36x72 canvases, each capturing a moment of time in New
York City. The show was displayed in 3 venues in the Big Apple, and then over to Holland.
Michaels intriguing and atmospheric painting of the Flat Iron Building, 1930s, graces the main
wall of the Artful Deposit Gallery, and viewing the piece can actually bring you back in time.

I'm so excited! We're taping the final segment for the October, Artful Living With CJ tonight!
The next episode will feature, Oliver, A Bistro, that is a fabulous BYOB located on Farnsworth
Avenue in Bordentown City. Owners, Matt and Danielle are expanding their catering services
to include, personalized dinner parties, chef-side dining in your home, light or heavy appetizers,
and family style or buffet dining. Wahoo! We'll be eating some fine food tonight! Talk about
Artful Living!

Save the date for the upcoming 21st annual Cranberry Festival, 10/2 and 10/3 in Bordentown

Hello Artful Deposit Friends and Fans,

This is a sensational time of year......I feel like I can breathe in the crisp morning air and still
look forward to a warm afternoon. With the Season of Color approaching, I received a delivery
of atmospheric pastels from New Jersey based artist, Anna Wainright. After returning from a
trip out West, this artist is currently painting with tons of color and atmosphere and giving the
viewer magnificent skies and landscape. "Storm at Grand Tetons" is an exceptional pastel,
measuring 18x24 with the frame. The Artful Deposit Gallery boasts the work of three amazing
pastel painters, namely Richard McKinley (Oregon PSA, OPA), Marge Levine, and Anna Wainright.
Please come and view the pieces for yourselves. All this and more in Historic Bordentown City, NJ!

As for today.....make it an Artful one! I started mine by walking down to the Crosswicks Creek and the Delaware River. Saw an amazing heron, and some hawks and crows....Picked up some

Hello Artful Deposit Friends and Fans,

Just a quick update for any of you stopping in the gallery over the next few days......
I unpacked a stunning oil portrait of an old man by Joseph William Dawley (1936-2008), that
was painted in the pre-Parkinsons years, c1977 - 1980. He is lovely and has kind eyes, and for
the Dawley collectors and admirers, this painting is a "must see."

Also arriving this afternoon is a brand new acrylic on canvas by one of the Artful Deposit artists,
Thomas Kelly. This piece will bring an instant smile to your face....."The Kissing Rock" will be in
someones collection very quickly, I'm sure!

Hello Art Lovers and Artful Deposit Fans,

I just received word from nationally acclaimed painter, Richard McKinley that new works are
being "boxed up" for shipment from Oregon straight to the Artful Deposit Gallery. I can't wait
to see what amazing oils and pastels this amazing artist is sending our way!! I will be sure to
post immediately upon receipt of the works!!!! so you can plan a visit to the gallery asap, as Richard's
paintings sold out last time they were on display in the West Comes East exhibit in May, 2010.

I'm working on the October, 2010 taping of a new ARTFUL LIVING, and what a fun show this
will be.....For all the fans of Oliver, A Bistro, this episode will be for you! More to come as we
get closer to airing!

Ok.....this is definitely an Artful Deposit Gallery day! Perfect weather to drive to Bordentown City and check out the new arrivals delivered for the weekend.....

Thomas Kelly brought in his latest acrylic on canvas, "Walking Backward," 24x30, and it's in the
window on the East Church Street side....As always, Tom's narrative works bring a smile to your
face, and forces one to come up with their own story of what's happening in the painting.

Michael Budden dropped off a plein air night scene that he painted while in Easton, MD this
summer......and there are stunning NYC scenes in oil by artist Cynthia A. Dawley.

Sunday gallery hours are 12 - 5. Hope to see you later in Bordentown City! The galleries are open!

It's a perfect overcast, Summer Sunday.......ummmmmm the perfect weather to go to some
galleries and museums and check out some amazing artwork! Let's see, where could you go
today? Well, of course, there's the Artful Deposit Gallery in Bordentown City! There happens to
be some amazing works in at present by the late Joseph William Dawley, his daughter, Cynthia,
Michael Budden, and Hanneke deNeve just delivered some sensational small works that make
you think early Holiday shopping!. Also, the striking animal portraits from
our Wyoming based artist, Sarah J. Webber, will melt you immediately.

Hello Art Lovers and Artful Deposit Patrons,

As promised yesterday, here are some upcoming events at the gallery and in Bordentown City.

The business association (D.B.A.) is hosting a city-wide sidewalk sale, this Friday and Saturday,
8/13 11am - 8pm, and 8/14 11am - 6pm. If the weather holds, I'm sure the Artful Deposit will
stay open both evenings as long as the crowd appears. I'm going through portfolios, and stacks
of unframed pieces, so come and shop, shop, shop!
Also, check me out on Facebook! Please sign up to be a fan on the Artful Deposit Facebook page
as well. I plan to post new works as they arrive at the gallery, and give you updated information
on the gallery artists!
